Panoramic View of Bluff Edge with Cedar Tree
Rooted in the Land
The Signal Tree grew out of the land that raised me—its creeks, its quiet woods, its firelit nights, and the everyday work of tending what grows. These photos come from that same world. They’re glimpses of the Ozarks as I know them: wildlife slipping through the brush, fruit trees heavy with promise, muscadine vines curling toward the sun, and the stillness that settles over a campfire. This is the landscape that shaped my childhood and inspired my novel, and I’m grateful to share it with you.
